Cultivating the hemp plant

Welcome to the next episode of the Meeting the Marry Jane Team series. As you know, one of the most essential aspects of any company is its production processes. Today, we begin our two-part conversation with a person who is a true professional when it comes to production activities and knows everything about them and so much more. We recently met with Vlora Nuredini, production manager of Marry Jane. In the first half of the interview, you’ll learn more about Vlora’s background, as well as her first time hearing about CBD and the company. Enjoy!

Vlora, traditionally we start our interviews with some personal background information. Please tell us something about yourself: Where are you from? Where did you grow up and what did you study?

My name is Vlora Nuredini, I am 33 years old, I am from Germany and I was born and raised in Düsseldorf. I am a mother of a 10 months old baby. My parents are from northern Macedonia. I have achieved a higher degree in Germany in the field of health care for two years and then hane changed to another direction in the field of gastronomy, because my family owns a restaurant and there I achieved my education as a restaurant specialist. I was employed there for 10 years and came into contact with people a lot.

Can you tell us how you got involved with CBD? When was that? What were your first impressions of it and could you see yourself working in the CBD industry?

I came to Switzerland from Germany in December 2019, as my husband was living in Switzerland. After one month I came in contact with Cbd for the first time in the company Marry Jane and since then I am working in the packaging area. My impression was that it is very interesting to see how many possibilities there are and what you can do with CBD, and that it can medically help many people e.g. with rheumatism or sleep disorders. I was positively surprised and never expected to work in this field.

How long have you known Marry Jane? Under what circumstances did you first hear about the company?

I have known the company for two years, as the co-owner is my husband’s brother-in-law.

Vlora, when did you start working for the company?

I started working for Marry Jane company in the middle of December 2019.

Why did you decide to get involved with production and what do you think is special about this area compared to other operations in the company?

Because it is always interesting to see how different varieties end up growing, and constantly the tasks are different and the process is always different. That means you don’t do the same thing all the time.

How can you describe the atmosphere in the company? Is it difficult or interesting to communicate with people who speak different languages?

There is a good atmosphere. The colleagues are in a good mood everyone here is hardworking. It is very interesting to hear different languages, but we all understand each other there, everyone has respect for each other. We don’t only have young people there, there are also older people, so you also learn from each other.

Can you tell us which area or areas of the production process you are responsible for?

I work in the packaging area. There the plants are cleaned by hand, we have to remove the wet leaves or yellow flowers and make sure that there are no black or mold-infested flowers underneath. Later they are packed and vacuum packed in different kilo packages.

This concludes the first part of our interview with Vlora Nuredini who is the production manager at Marry Jane. Would you like to ask Vlora any other questions you find interesting?
